An Open Colleges Network (OCN) training provider

MillRace IT Ltd is an approved provider of accredited training through the National Open Colleges Network. We provide a range of training courses from Levels 1 - 3 in ICT skills, computer recycling and customer service skills

The flexibility of the OCN programme allows us to tailor accredited training courses to suit the needs of a wide range of organisations. We can provide training at clients' premises using our own mobile classroom or from our training rooms in Chelmsford and Witham.

Training Course examples:

  • Microsoft Office Focus Sessions
    For individuals or corporate clients who would like to improve their knowledge of topics such as spreadsheets, mail merge, desktop publishing or PowerPoint

  • Skills for Life - Literacy & Numeracy (OCN Level 1)
    For people who would like to develop their ICT skills while improving literacy or numeracy.  Courses include Job-Seekers' Literacy, Personal Budgeting and Spreadsheets

  • Skills training for older learners
    A gentle introduction to computer skills designed for older learners who would like to use a computer, send and receive Email and surf the Internet.

  • OCN Accredited Training Courses
    For those wishing to gain accredited training in in MS Office (Levels 1-3); Computer Recycling or Customer Service Skills

Work-based training

MillRace works with JobCentre Plus to provide work-based training placements in computer recycling at our workshops in Witham, and in retail and customer service skills at our shop in Clacton.

 

     

 

 

   

Low-cost Training

Community Computers - our retail and training division - provides low-cost training courses at our fully-equipped training room at Moulsham Mill, Chelmsford.  Courses include IT for beginners and intermediate learners, recreational courses such as family history on the internet plus accredited training with the Open Colleges Network and technical courses.
